Work through the Maple worksheet found here. If you have Netscape configured to start Maple, you will be on your way. Otherwise, you can simply download the worksheet and start Maple yourself. The assigned problems are at the end of this worksheet. You may work with another fellow student, if you wish. You need not both be in the same recitation section. If two of you do work together on the assignment, you need not hand in but one copy of your work. I ask that no more than two people work together on the assignment.
Please hand in a printed copy of your work, and make sure your name is on your paper.(Both names, if two of you have worked together.) Also, be sure the name of your recitation instructor is on your paper.
Thanks and good luck!
If you are new to Maple, you might want to look at some more elementary examples and exercises prior to tackling this homework. You can find some easy ones for beginners here. The School of Mathematics also provides links to some good information about using Maple.
You can now see my solution for this first assignment.
As before, work through the Maple worksheet, and do the exercises at the end. Hand in a printed copy of your work. Again, you may work with one partner, if you wish. In this case you need hand in only one copy of your work, but be sure both names and sections are indicated on the paper.
Have fun!
N.B. This worksheet was prepared using Maple V Release 5.1. I have tried running it with Release 4, and it seems to work okay.
You can see my solution for this one.
Work through the Maple worksheet, and do the exercise at the end. Again, I need you to hand in a printed copy of your work. If you work together with someone, please hand in only one paper, but be sure both names and recitation sections are on your paper.

Do just as before. Remember, I need a printed copy of your work.
You can see my solution, if you wish.
